Kerlingarfjoll is in the central highlands of Iceland. We reach it on our Kerlingarfjoll highlands tour (hyperlink) in a specially converted vehicle. This landscape has some of the most beautiful swirling colours seen in Iceland as well as being a highly active geothermal area with misty steamy fumeroles adding to the dramatic scenary.
